Yes, I am currently accepting new clients for bookings between May to July 2025.
I am currently offering assessment appointments on Mondays and Thursdays between 8:00am and 4:00pm.
The cost of an ADHD assessment is $1800, which includes all of the elements described on my assessment page (i.e., review of online questionnaires and collateral information, clinical interview, feedback session, written report with recommendations). This fee covers approximately 8 hours of work at the rate of $225 per hour.
The first half of payment is due at the start of the clinical interview.
The second half of payment is due at the start of the feedback session.
Full payment is due prior to receiving the report.
I accept credit card and e-transfers for payment. Many clients prefer to use credit card payments as they can be easily managed within my booking system, reducing the need to remember to send payment. Alternatively, I also accept e-transfer for assessments; payments can be made prior to our virtual appointments.
Please reach out to me at info@drsarahfarstad.com to request an assessment. I will answer any questions you have about the process and then I can send you information about how to complete the consent forms, intake forms, and questionnaires.
Once the intake forms and questionnaires have been completed, we will book the clinical interview and feedback sessions.
You do not require a referral from your doctor or mental health professional. You can contact me directly to request an assessment.
I require at least one week's notice for cancellation or rescheduling of an assessment. This cancellation policy allows me to schedule clients waiting for appointments. If this deadline is missed, you will be billed for the number of virtual hours that would have been spent in the appointment. If I am able to fill your spot with another client, you will not be charged the late cancellation fee. I understand that unexpected emergencies can occur, and I will review these situations on a case by case basis.
Yes, you can. The cancellation list is for clients who are available at short notice and who are hoping to get in for their appointment sooner than the waitlist. There are no guarantees that being added to the cancellation list will result in an earlier appointment.
Psychologists are not covered by the provincial Medical Services Plan. Many extended health benefit plans will reimburse you for part or all of the services. Please check with your insurance carrier directly for details on their coverage for sessions with a Registered Psychologist. If you have extended health coverage, you can submit your receipts to your insurance provider for reimbursement. I do not bill insurance companies directly.
