I am a registered psychologist (#2394) with the College of Health and Care Professionals of B.C. I received my Bachelors of Arts (First Class Honors) in Psychology and Criminology from Simon Fraser University. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Calgary.
I conducted research on binge eating, problematic gambling, and substance use among men and women from the community, as well as youth who had come into contact with the law. I have published journal articles, co-authored a book chapter, and presented my research at national and international conferences on these topics.
I have over 10 years of clinical experience in various settings including inpatient hospitals, outpatient mental health settings, forensic services, correctional centers, and private practice. I have provided specialized assessment services including comprehensive mental health assessments, comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments (i.e., ADHD, FASD), and Court-ordered presentence assessments. I have also provided therapy and support to clients with complex and diverse needs including those with ADHD, FASD, difficulties with eating, substance use, trauma, anger/aggressive behavior, and emotion regulation.
Over the past 5 years, I have focused on completing complex assessments and supporting neurodivergent clients to reduce unhelpful behaviors, manage emotions more effectively, and improve their quality of life.
I am a member of several professional organizations including the Canadian Psychological Association, Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance, and Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abuse.
